Nigeria’ very own Starboy, Wizkid just sold out London 20,000 Capacity 02 Arena one week to the Afro Republik Indoor Festival. The singer just made history being the first African-Based artist to sell out the prestigious 02 Arena. Tweeting about the soon to hold event, @Aricafactszone said:- ‘Wizkid sold out 19,000 capacity Barclay’s Center in USA as the Last Headliner (One Africa Music Fest, 2016). He sold out London’s most iconic venue, Royal Albert Hall as the Sole Headliner in 2017. He’s just sold out the World’s Busiest Music Arena, 20,000 capacity 02 Arena, UK.”

Davido is already planning to retire from music. He was born in 1992 and is just 25 year old, but has already achieved a whole lot in his life. He has risen to become one of the most recognizable faces in the Nigerian music industry and has bagged a lot of awards. In a recent interview with sources, Davido hinted that he wants to retire from actively doing music when he turns 30, a mere five years away from the present day. When the interviewer reminded Davido just how successful he become, the singer did not hesitate to state his 5-year plan. He said:- “I am 25 now, and I have a five-year plan. “By the time I am 30, I don’t want to be actively doing music anymore”.

Davido who announced last week on social media that he was about to the the proud owner of a private jet has just been called out by a a Nigerian media outlet. Davido had earlier revealed that the said jet would be arriving Nigeria in the coming weeks but it seems that may be far from the truth. The Capital reports that Davido didn’t buy any private jet. It could be recalled that on Tuesday, May 15, Nollywood once again mourned the death of one of its talented members, Aisha Abimbola popularly known as Omoge Campus  The funeral of Nollywood actress took place in Canada yesterday,  Thursday, May 17th . The 46-year old pretty actress died of breast cancer on  May 15th  in Canada where she was undergoing treatment. Her family members and friends were at the burial ceremony. Veteran Musician, Sir Victor Uwaifo, has called out Singer Simi over an alleged intellectual theft. According to the music maestro, the contemporary singer stole the title of his song Joromi without giving him credit. Uwaifo made this known in an interview with the Annual General Meeting of Copyright Society Of Nigeria COSON, held at Sheraton Hotels, Ikeja, Lagos. The Former Commissioner for arts and culture in Edo State described copyright and intellectual property theft as a very serious issue in Nigeria, saying it must be dealt with urgently as it is reducing the creativity of the new generation of musician.
